Finally I am once again back to writing on my little slice of the Internet. And oh how many thing’s there are to babble on about.
- Yes Paul Newman has indeed passed and I am not going to be like the legion’s of other people writing lengthy obits’ or him. This is only because I tend to not dwell on past sorrow’s but worry about what is ahead. Like…..
- Am I the only one who has noticed the races on Versus’ schedule are at much better times and we Kentucky fan’s finally get a night race instead of an evening race. Plus Chicago will be under the light’s but unfortunately not the season finale.
- And how about Stanton Barrett getting into the real racing…..his supposed experience-driving stunt car’s. What we have here is the next E.J. Viso.
- And, kudos to Wheldon for getting a helmet on a talking head.
- Alex Tagliani was hired with out being hired to replace Enrique Bernoldi and I think Jamie Camara will be doubtful for next year
- In other news several IRL driver’s are participating in Petit Le Man’s and at Miller Motorsport’s park for the Grand-am finale.
- Report’s also suggest a 3rd car for Ganassi next year for Alex Lloyd
Well that seems like a good quick roundup of the last few week’s of news. And on that bombshell it’s time to end this post…………..To much Jeremy Clarkson lately.

Well, I hate to say it but the beautiful sound of that great Honda engine will not be hear for 7 MONTH’s that’s right seven month’s. Why would some one ever build a schedule so crammed together that all we have to watch for 7 month’s is Sebastian Bourdais‘ tenure in F1 slowly deteriorate and the Brown’s have another less than perfect season. Yes, Tony definitely needs to lengthen the schedule but on the bright side the race this weekend was enough excitement that I am able to go a little bit without breaking into tear’s from lackofIndyracing syndrome. But that’s enough whining; this week at chicagoland was a reminder of the great racing that made the IRL what it is. With the constant side by side racing and enough passing to make your head spin. Now onto this week’s awards.
Move of the race:Dan Wheldon- for insanely going 3-wide for the lead for like 10 lap’s and reminding us all of what good racing is.
Drive of the race:Alex Tagliani- for coming from 19th on a 1.5 mile oval on which he has never raced
Idiot of the race:Graham Rahal- WE CALL IT A MIRROR YOU MORON…..sorry just a little angry after he took out my boy then my girl recked on the following restart
Wow award:Lap’s led this year by Danica Patrick: 4 :lap’s led by Milka Duno: 5
#1 thing learned:true racing takes place on ovals big, wide, fast ovals.
