News has come that Tony George has officially resigned his positions at Hulman & CO and the IMS corporation.
“INDIANAPOLIS, Tuesday, June 30, 2009 – The Board of Directors of Hulman & Company and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced June 30 that a new management team comprised of veteran IMS executives W. Curtis Brighton and Jeffrey G. Belskus will head the Hulman-George companies effective July 1.
“I can’t wait for Richmond. A short track is what we need to break up this monotony. It’s a drivers track so these cars won’t be as bad.”
As Lisa would say. Fail. And that’s an understatement. Something need to be done. And quickly. Plans are in place for aerodynamic changes for the next oval at Kentucky*. The rear wings need to be reduced and the tires need to be significantly softer. Davey Hamilton also mentioned that the new exhaust systems cause a large amount of turbulence. But none of that matters. The league is too busy trying to make money and forgetting about what it’s all about.
I can’t believe I’m saying this but bring on the road courses. At least there is some passing on those. I can’t wait to see Toronto. Never seen a race there but I’ve heard it’s one of the best. Edmonton put on a good show last year as did Mid-Ohio.
Also, what was wrong with the Penske cars?! That was pathetic. Both of them crashing in the same place successively. That puts Helio and Briscoe in 3rd and 4th in points. With a season like this you can’t afford mistakes like that.
I’m planning to do a report on the F1 situation tomorrow so stay tuned. Pics of the month will be Thursday. We’ve been doing a ton of behind the scenes technical stuff as of late and have some big announcements about that in the future.
*I will be there along with Lisa to cover the action live. We’ve even scored two pit passes so we’ll be in the heart of the action.

Well, because I don’t have much to talk about until more details come about the F1 reunion I thought I would give you some other entertainment. Enjoy
