Hi guys, new contibutor Joel Osborne here.
Many moves may highlight the off season.
Drivers may soon be finding new homes for this off season. The most coveted spot may be Scott Dixon’s seat at TCG Racing. Dixon has been widely rumored to move to the new team of fellow mate Gil De Ferran. De Ferran has been silent since the announcement of his intentions to join the IRL, also keeping quiet the announcement of whom his principle driver might be.
Other spots opening up might be on KVR team Azul, as widely spread scuttlebutt leads everyone to believe that with 3 top-5 finishes and 6 top-10 finishes that sophomore Mario Moraes might find a new ride next season. With his clashes with several drivers this season, his talent might not be at the level where a team like CGR will take him. That remains to be seen.
The Saga at AGR continues where the only series Danica Patrick has not been rumored to would be the SGP (speedway Grand Prix, www.speedwaygp.com) where her clashes with Nikki Pederson would only heighten her expectations of the sport. Danica has only aggravated the situation by being silent to the press about her moves. The rumored 2-year contract extension that was reported earlier still has not showed up, so she might be waiting for DFR and Dixon to make a move before announcing what she will do next season. NASCAR still seems to be in her future as well. From this reporter’s viewpoint, the move to NASCAR would prove to be the fatal blow as she has shown no promise this season. Even though she placed 5th in the standings overall, she showed no threat to the Four Horsemen. Hideki Mutoh still has no word on sponsorship this year as well, Formula Dream has made no commitment to the driver for next year leaving a possible opportunity for the young drivers, JR Hildebrand and Sabastian Saavedra.
Speaking of the Four Horsemen, in good news for Will Power, Penske Racing announced that Power will be running a third car full time next season. With his few races this season, Power continues to show everyone that he really deserves a full-time ride.
So let the sands of time descend; let time tell where these drivers may lie next season.

Tim Cindric stated that he plans to run three cars – don’t believe deal is done yet though. Sure it is a matter of time for an announcement and Will would/should get the ride. Will be great to see him run a full season in 2010!
Imkenny was correct Power’s deal is not yet done
Dixon is staying with CGR
If Moraes leaves it wont be KV Team Azul. Azul is Mario’s sponsor (Dad)
Danica’s rumored contract is 3 years not 2. She will be back with Andretti
Formula Dream money wont go to Hildebrand or Saavedra. It is from Honda and will go to a Japanese driver

Votorantim is Mario’s dad, not AZUL. That was brokered through the IRL. The major sponsorship will stay with KV Racing, no matter who’s in the seat.
